Welcome to the world of Stellaris
Hello everyone! It's Marek again, and today I want to introduce you to some of the new content for Stellaris that will make your gaming experience even more interesting. We'll take a look at the new Civics, Origins, and Traditions that you can use for your empires. Let's get started!
New Civics for all types of players
There are a total of eight unique Civics (twelve if you count customized versions for different empire types) for standard empires, megacorporations, hive minds, and machine intelligences. We've come up with something special for each of these empire types.
Civilization for Knowledge Keepers
Our most well-known civilization allows you to store the knowledge of your leaders and thus improve your future leaders. The goal of this civilization is to fanatically impose your ethos on others, without necessarily having to be religious. After all, you have already had success with it on your home planet, so why stop in space?
Megacorporations and their Specialties
For players who like to play as MegaCorps, we have also developed something suitable. MegaCorp themes are usually focused on leading dystopian companies in the foreground or background of a country. The efficiency of the work processes is crucial for the success of a MegaCorporation.
Gestalts: Individuality despite Hive Mind
Gestalts are in a way the opposite of the Galactic Paragons DLC, which focuses on individuals. Therefore, we have developed two civilizations that make their leaders a little more individual than other Gestalts.
Origins: Strength from the Beginning
The main aspect of Origins is to give the player a strong starting leader with a unique set of powerful starting traits (upgradable to level III). These traits are not based on the leader class, but on the ethics of the empire - that means there are a total of 14 traits to choose from.
Traditions: Aptitude and Statecraft Trees
We have chosen the Leader Traditions tree Aptitude and the Statecraft tree. With the new Aptitude, your empires will focus on leaders and give them various buffs. The Statecraft tree, on the other hand, has stronger council members and also promotes leaders. Even if your empire is not based on leaders, it can still benefit from the effects to build a strong government.
Conclusion
The new civilizations, origins, and traditions offer exciting opportunities to customize your Stellaris empire and optimize your strategy. Try them out and discover the diverse combinations!
