Stellaris Patch 3.8.3: Improvements for Multiplayer and Co-op

Hey gamers! Have you heard about the latest patch 3.8.3 for Stellaris? The developers have implemented some great improvements, especially in the area of multiplayer and co-op, so stability is now in a pretty good state. But don't worry, they are already working on version 3.8.4, which is set to be released in the coming weeks and will bring even more fixes.

Changes to Collateral Damage and Raiding Bombardments

One of the most important changes in the current patch concerns collateral damage in ground combat and bombardments, especially in raiding bombardment. The developers found that many invasions were destroying colonies before the battle was even completed - this is set to change. The collateral damage caused by ground units has been reduced, and the base rate for stealing population through raiding bombardments has been drastically lowered.

Defending the Population Against Raiding Bombardments

An interesting detail: every army on a planet now protects three population units from being endangered by raiding bombardments. This means that on a colony with three defending armies, the last ten population units are safe from raids. As next week is another short week in Sweden, the next developer diary will be released on June 15th, although a small update with further confirmed fixes for 3.8.4 may be released.

Stellaris with a Twist: The Community Event

To celebrate the seventh anniversary of Stellaris, the developers have launched a special community event: Stellaris with a Twist! Two of the most popular content creators will explore a galaxy – pursuing goals suggested and voted on by the community.

How to Participate in the Event

The event will take place on the first three Wednesdays in June (7th, 14th, and 21st) at 3:00 PM CEST (UTC+2). If you want to learn more or participate yourself, simply check out the official forum post. Each player will have a personal goal they must achieve, and they will pursue a common goal. All content creator goals will be provided by the community – so don't hesitate to submit your own suggestions!

Voting and Social Media Channels

The goal suggestions are currently open, so you can submit your ideas here. Follow Stellaris' social media channels or join the official Discord server to stay updated on the voting, which begins on Friday and runs throughout the weekend. On Monday, the goals for the first stream on Wednesday, June 7th, will be announced.

Don't forget to grab a Steam key for Stellaris if you don't already own the game! Have fun playing and participating in the community event!
