Hey, gamers! Take a seat, power down the warp drive, and get comfortable. Why? Because here at Keyfuchs, we have a lot to tell you about the amazing 4X strategy game - Stellaris. It's time for an update! New changes are on the horizon, and we're here to give you a detailed overview.
3.9 "Caelum" Open Beta Patch 1
The developers have been hard at work to further improve the game. With the new beta patch "Caelum," they promise some exciting changes. But let's dive in:
Balance Changes
- Employees now provide +1% trade value
- Maintenance costs for traders have been reduced to 1 CG
- Industrial districts on habitats now provide +0.25 building slots
- Hydroponic habitat upgrades now increase food production for farmers
- Alloy and influence costs of Habitat Central Complexes have been increased
- Influence costs of orbitals have been removed
Bug Fixes
- The endgame crisis scenario can now destroy orbitals
- Issues related to "In Breach Of The Galactic Law" have been resolved
- Tooltip flickering bug has been fixed
Improvements & Modding
In addition to the balance changes and bug fixes, there are also some improvements and modding updates.
You can now add effects to infected planets level 1-3, and there is a small visual update to Shroud Entity. In terms of modding, "is_orbital_ring = no" has been replaced with "is_normal_starbase = yes".
Note!This beta patch is optional. You need to manually opt in. Simply right-click on Stellaris in your Steam library -> Properties -> Betas tab -> Choose the "stellaris_test - 3.9 Open Beta" branch.
Don't forget to disable your mods as they may crash.
