A new chapter in the DC Universe
"Suicide Squad" is gearing up to be one of the biggest DC game releases, promising thrilling action-adventure gameplay and a story that follows the events of Arkham Knight. Developed by Rocksteady Studios, this game doesn't focus on Batman as the central character. Instead, it puts the spotlight on the iconic team of supervillains as they go up against the Justice League.
The Suicide Squad takes the stage
"Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League" is one of the most highly anticipated PC games among the DC fan community. It offers a fresh Batman Arkham experience centered around the Suicide Squad instead of Batman. The fifth installment in the series also features Kevin Conroy's final performance as Batman. Now, we finally get a glimpse into the scope of the Suicide Squad as Rocksteady delves into the story, explaining how it influences the gameplay and how vast Metropolis is.
Metropolis - A Playground for Supervillains
The developers at Rocksteady describe Metropolis in Suicide Squad as huge - "twice the size of Arkham City" from the previous Batman game. The movement of Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and King Shark in the city is central to the gameplay experience. Each villain moves through Metropolis in a way that corresponds to their origins.
The City of Tomorrow
Rocksteady further describes Metropolis as "the city of tomorrow." They say that players will get to know the game's location "by its size, its scale." The team plans to provide constant updates for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League after its release. They promise a "huge amount of free content" that will be available after launch. In the next Insider episode, they will explain their plans in more detail and give a preview of the game's combat.
