Super Nintendo World - Shigeru Miyamoto talks about theme park

Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Mario and Zelda, recently spoke about Super Nintendo World, an ambitious new theme park, and emphasized how it will help Nintendo characters become known to non-gamers. Miyamoto describes his long-standing passion for theme parks and how he once doubted whether Nintendo could run a theme park business.

But then he found a suitable partner in Universal Studios. Together they created Super Nintendo World in Japan, which received much praise despite the pandemic. There is now also a version of the park in Universal Studios Hollywood, which continues to receive positive feedback.

Miyamoto's influence on the design of the park and his attention to detail is evident, with visitors able to collect stamps with special bracelets, reminiscent of his famous games.

Super Nintendo World: Miyamoto sees it as the future of Nintendo

Miyamoto also emphasizes that he believes Super Nintendo World and the upcoming movie will help make Nintendo characters known to a wider audience. He sees it as the future of Nintendo and how this kind of entertainment can appeal to non-gamers.

For Miyamoto, Super Nintendo World is proof that Nintendo can go beyond video games and that it is important to explore new ways to keep the Nintendo brand relevant.
