Welcome to the unforgiving Puma Region
Hot steam bursts from the ground, eerie mist envelops old shipwrecks, occasional howls echo off the cliffs... Do you dare to venture into the Puma Region and face its challenges? In these unknown and unforgiving lands, it is crucial for your survival to master the conditions and inhabitants. Strong winds chill you to the bone and decrease the chances of ignition. Large pumas and fast bats are waiting to harm and poison any hiker.
Level 2 Dwellings
Collect as many iron tree branches as possible in the Puma Region if you plan on upgrading your house. Level 2 dwellings are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also provide an improved comfort status and protection from the cold compared to level 1 houses. Additionally, your body will fight off illnesses faster and your energy will be restored more quickly when inside.
Spanish Schooners & Iron
Building a schooner just for its looks is enough, but it also offers increased durability, speed, and storage capacity compared to all other ships. Additionally, each schooner has a tall mast that you can climb to search the area for resources in the sea. And the best part? You can now craft it using the newly introduced iron! Copper is no longer the highest level material in the game. Use iron bars to craft the most stable tools, equipment, and of course, the fancy schooner.
Great Jackal
A new challenge might finally make you use the blocking function from the tutorial - the Great Jackal. It is the first boss in the game with subordinates and a terrifying arena decorated with giant bones. After you defeat the Great Jackal, you will find a key in its corpse that opens the chest containing the Macuahuitl - a melee weapon of the elite natives.
Traps & New Abilities
This update also introduces traps as a new method of collecting animal resources. No more direct combat needed to obtain these valuable sinews - simply prepare bait, set up a trap, and wait a while! Fourth-tier survival skills are now available! Additionally, there are new survival tasks that you can complete to earn additional survival points for learning these abilities.
