They are confronted with an attack by the Imperion faction, which has already conquered a large part of the galaxy and rules it with an iron fist.
To put the Imperion droids in their place and ultimately destroy their mothership, the players take control of a gun turret in the heat of battle in Taur, which has both a primary and a secondary weapon. In the first missions it is enough to fight the enemy armies with rockets or a plasma beam, but the later missions require much more battle skill and above all powerful weapons. This is where the building menu of Taur comes into play.
Shield generators, gun towers or production facilities can be built, with which the players - provided the necessary resources - can mobilize additional units such as laser archers, interceptors or close-combat fighters and send them into battle. The necessary challenge is provided by the fact that all units in Taur have their own strengths and weaknesses. So tactical thinking is a must.
Between the entertaining missions, the players' path leads to the research menu. Here, in addition to choosing the next mission, the players can also unlock new buildings, weapons or active skills in the far-reaching skill tree, which are of great help in the battles. Given sufficient resources, selected weapon upgrades can also be purchased here, which increase the damage of the player's weapons.
In the visual area, Taur mainly attracts attention with its atmospheric low-polygon look and, thanks to the deliberately used camera perspectives, provides the necessary overview. Since the battles take place in forests, in ice landscapes or in forests, there is no boredom in terms of theme.
