Welcome to The Anacrusis!
Do you enjoy sitting with your buddies and gaming late into the night? Then The Anacrusis might be right up your alley! Chet Faliszek, known as a co-developer of classics like Left 4 Dead and Half-Life 2, has teamed up with indie studio Stray Bombay to release a new cooperative FPS game for four players.
Many will surely remember Left 4 Dead, an atmospheric co-op shooter that managed to subtly promote teamwork. Now, Faliszek returns with The Anacrusis, bringing along some elements from his previous work.
The Anacrusis: A Look at the Gameplay
The Anacrusis bears some resemblance to Left 4 Dead in certain aspects. It is a cooperative FPS game for four players. Your goal? Survive against increasingly challenging enemies and reach the end of each level. Sounds like a real challenge, doesn't it? But don't worry, the AI "driver" adjusts the gameplay based on your performance. So, if you've been waiting for a new team-oriented shooter since the release of Left 4 Dead 2, The Anacrusis is definitely worth a look.
The Anacrusis: Unique yet Familiar
Although The Anacrusis shares similarities with Left 4 Dead, Faliszek and Stray Bombay have put in the effort to give the game its own identity. Instead of the dark apocalypse of Left 4 Dead, you find yourself in a colorful retro-future reminiscent of the 70s. And the mod support and four-versus-four PvP mode are back as well.
