The Day Before - Survival, MMO, Openworld, Zombies in 2022?

Between life and (un-)death - in the survival MMO The Day Before from Russian developer studio FNTASTIC, players can make their way through a decaying America. But they always have to be on the lookout, because there are far more dangers of death than one would expect!

Dark Shadows

America of the present is gripped by an unexplained pandemic. People who become ill turn into bloodthirsty, flesh-craving zombies and hunt down the survivors. So as a player you quickly grab a weapon to defend the little life that is left. But it quickly becomes clear that it does no good simply to retreat to a dark basement or a safe bunker. If the last people want a chance to stop the zombie plague, they have to find out what caused the pandemic in the first place.

Change of scene

The developers of FNTASCTIC have used great role models from recent video game and film history to give The Day Before everything they think a survival MMO needs. The players start in a large, opulent metropolis - of course without any memories. They first have to fight their way to one of the last bastions of the survivors before the game really gets going. During the course of the campaign, it should go once across the USA and correspondingly change the skeletons of dead cities with creepy-idyllic forests and even isolated snowy areas.

In addition to the hordes of infected, players can also make each other's lives difficult. Similar to other end-time games, the survivors join forces in small groups to, for example, collect resources. But because things like food, fuel or metal are scarce, it often happens that different groups fight over the same loot. Since the conflicts cannot be resolved with words, the scrap shotguns, pistols and co. are quickly drawn to defend themselves.

But even outside of the fighting, sudden death is constantly threatening. Things like hunger, thirst and fatigue quickly take their toll on the players, so that they always have to take care of their characters if they do not want to die of exhaustion.
