The fourth game of The Dark Pictures Anthology finally comes out on Steam on November 18th. With the release, the first season of the scary adventures also ends.
Developer Supermassive Games already gave some insights into the last part. The introduction tells why the protagonists go to a remote island. There they explore a macabre hotel, which was strongly inspired by Holmes' construction.
This is how the horror begins
The protagonists unintentionally leave their cell phones behind and are curious about the hotel. But soon strange things happen and the horror really starts. From here on, the player takes over. You can control the members of Lonnit Entertainment and discover their first abilities. For example, one can open locked doors and drawers with a business card. Another can reach things at a higher level with his tripod. But also the eavesdropping through walls with a directional microphone is one of the abilities that could still be useful to you.
The abilities bring many interesting new ways to unlock the hotel's secrets from the deadly hotel.
But not only the abilities are new, but also the movement is different from before. So you can now jump, climb, sneak and move furniture and objects. This creates a much better sense of immersion and you don't just run from A to B.
