The Elder Scrolls Online: What to Expect in Update 39
Hey gamer friend! Are you ready for another round of adventures in Tamriel? With the free base game patch Update 39, The Elder Scrolls Online brings some exciting changes and additions that we've all been waiting for. During the ESO Global Reveal in January, it was announced that the focus of this development cycle is on improving in-game systems and addressing long-standing community requests. The first part of these changes will be available on August 21 for PC/Mac and September 5 for Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
As a base game update, Update 39 is free for all existing ESO players - no additional purchase required. Get ready for general improvements, PvP additions, and Home Editor enhancements. Doesn't that sound exciting? Let's take a look at some of the changes coming with Update 39!
General Improvements
Quest & Content Improvements for New Players
Have you ever felt overwhelmed when first stepping into Tamriel? The team has implemented a series of changes to reduce the volume and frequency of quest choices for players in early content. With Update 39, these quests will gradually become available.
Navigator Quest Pins
This update also introduces a new system that utilizes Tamriel's navigators: NPCs who transport players for free between important destinations. Tracked quests (active or inactive) now indicate whether these navigators can take you to your destination.
New Endeavor Activities & Item Management Improvements
Update 39 also includes new types of weekly and daily endeavor activities. Additionally, this patch includes changes to better understand and manage your various inventory items.
PvP Additions
Update 39 introduces a new death notification system during your PvP battles. The update also introduces various new items.
Home Editor Improvements
For housing enthusiasts, Update 39 includes the ability to preview Crown Store furnishings and the ability to place furniture directly from your inventory and collectibles UI in your home.
These are just a few highlights from the upcoming The Elder Scrolls Online patch. If you'd like to see the full list of fixes, you can do so on the official forums. Enjoy exploring Tamriel!
