THE LAST OF US PART 2 - Release postponed

The horror-survival game "The Last of Us" goes into round two.

In the second part of the post-apocalyptic survival simulation, the action takes place five years after the first part. In the usual third-person view, you control the fate of Joel and Ellie. The two protagonists set off in Wyoming to once again face the monsters that were once human before the outbreak of the pandemic. With shotgun, knife or bow and arrow, it's not just the infected this time, but also other people who are in for it.

Now the community of players will have to wait a little longer. Sony Interactive Entertainment and Naughty Dog announced that the release will have to be postponed again. The planned release of the game was already postponed in October to May 29. Now the next bad news follows. On April 02, the publisher tweeted that "Iron Man VR" and "The Last of Us Part 2" will be postponed indefinitely without a new release date. The studio Naughty Dog confirmed this.
The studio and publisher have apologized to the gaming community in this context. At the same time, it was announced how important it is for them to ensure a smooth and overall satisfactory gaming experience at the time of release.
The reason for the further delay is, as can hardly be expected, related to the coronavirus pandemic. Logistical processes for the planned completion are suffering greatly from the circumstances of the crisis. According to Naughty Dog, the development phase is almost complete, but the bug fixing still takes time. Since it is difficult to estimate how much time this process will take, the decision was made to postpone the release indefinitely.

This is what the past test reports say.

So far, the tests of "The Last of Us Part 2" promise that the second part can surpass its predecessor in many ways. In addition to the reworking of well-known strengths such as story, atmosphere and gameplay, the sequel focuses on new features in appearance and content. On the Playstation 4, "The Last of Us Part 2" unfolds in breathtaking graphics. In addition, additional tension is built up by new enemy classes.

If you're into horror and post-apocalyptic themes, you're sure to have a good time here. Survival fans will not have to think long about whether to grab
