March is the perfect month for all fans of multiplayer shooters. Many of the most well-known FPS games have announced big updates, bringing new weapons, maps, and betas. While some of the biggest shooters like Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Apex Legends already released their first major updates in February, March is packed with new content. We'll be introducing you to the most important FPS updates of the month.
The Finals Closed Beta (March 7-21)
Our most anticipated FPS of 2023 is holding a closed beta this month. During a press preview session, we were able to spend a few hours in The Finals and had a lot of fun experimenting with the fully destructible maps. Although there are still some performance-related issues, it's definitely worth a try if you manage to get an invitation.
Halo Infinite Season 3: Echoes Within (March 7)
With the introduction of Forge Mode last year (which theoretically has the potential to include all maps of the known universe), the latest update of Halo Infinite is the biggest one yet. There are a lot of new maps, a new weapon (!), a game mode that sounds like Gun Game, and a battle pass with 100 levels that never expires. The number of maps in Big Team Battle is still a bit short, but it's a step in the right direction.
Battlefield 2042 Season 4: Eleventh Hour (February 28th)
Despite technical difficulties, Battlefield 2042 is now really good. The latest update of Battlefield 2042 offers a lot of new features, from new maps to new weapons and a fascinating new transport vehicle. However, the biggest change is the (re)introduction of classes. Specialists and the gadgets they have access to are now determined by their class. Classes also have passive bonuses that are relevant to their role and complement the unique characteristics of each operator.
Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Commanding Force (March 7th)
Year 8 of Siege begins with a small update, but it adds a very interesting new operator. Brava has a completely new type of drone called Kludge, which allows you to hack defenders' gadgets and take control of them. We have already seen some impressive plays with the drone and are curious to see what else is to come.
Valorant Act 2 Episode 6: Revelation (March 7th)
The latest update of Valorant adds a new agent that surprises players with a unique ability: The new agent Gekko can deploy a small alien dude who can carry and even plant bombs.
Overall, there are some great updates for FPS fans in March. Which one is your favorite? Let us know in the comments!
