Attention fans of spine-tingling thrills: Red Barrels' latest creation, "The Outlast Trials," is now available in Early Access for PC! The independent game development studio from Montreal once again immerses us in the dark universe of the Outlast series. However, this time there's a special challenge in store for us: In this co-op survival horror game, we can try to escape the terror of the Murkoff Corporation together with our friends – or alone, if we're brave enough.
New challenges & features in Early Access
The Early Access version of "The Outlast Trials" offers us a wealth of new challenges and opportunities. Players are confronted with terror in Murkoff's Sinyala Facility and must fight their way through new environments and trials. There are multiple challenges, variations, and a seasonal program that will push us to our limits. Character and cell customization, as well as a complete character development including narrative introduction and surprising conclusion for each published reagent, provide additional variety.
Surviving Together or Alone
What sets The Outlast Trials apart is its co-op aspect: up to four players can team up to try and survive the horror. But don't worry if you prefer to play alone - the singleplayer mode allows you to navigate the dark corridors of the Murkoff facility on your own. The game's storyline takes place during the Cold War and puts us in the shoes of test subjects who have been abducted by the mysterious Murkoff Corporation. We must endure physical and mental torture in a secret facility and try to escape from the series' iconic characters.
The Outlast Series: Top-Notch Survival Horror
If you haven't played the previous installments of the Outlast series, you're in for a treat. These first-person survival horror games were developed by industry veterans and are known for their immersive atmosphere, excellent sound design, and terrifying scenarios. "The Outlast Trials" continues this tradition and offers us another gripping gaming experience that will make us fear for our lives.
