The Simpsons: Hit & Run - The classic that has thrilled generations

Since its release in 2003, The Simpsons: Hit & Run has gained numerous fans and is now considered a classic. With an overall score of 86% on Metacritic, it is the highest-rated Simpsons game of all time. Developed by the Canadian studio Radical Entertainment, it was released for PS2, Nintendo GameCube, Xbox, and later for PC.

Development Process of The Simpsons: Hit & Run

Radical Entertainment had previously developed numerous games, including many adaptations of popular brands. The studio's first attempt at a Simpsons game, however, failed with The Simpsons: Road Rage. But the studio was able to learn from its mistakes and incorporate the experience into the development of The Simpsons: Hit & Run. The game was inspired by Grand Theft Auto 3, Driver, and Super Mario 64.

Gameplay of The Simpsons: Hit & Run

The Simpsons: Hit & Run gives players the opportunity to step into the shoes of the Simpsons family and explore Springfield. The gameplay is similar to Grand Theft Auto 3 but also features its own elements such as collecting coins, mining gameplay, and completing missions. Players can travel around the city in various ways such as on foot, by car, or by bus.

Influence of The Simpsons: Hit & Run

The Simpsons: Hit & Run has not only gained numerous fans but has also gained attention for the inspired decisions of the developers. The game allows players to step into the shoes of the entire Simpsons family and explore the world of Springfield. This allowed the game to develop its own character and stand out from other Simpsons games.
