The Sims 4: Growing Together - What Players Can Expect from the New Expansion Pack

The latest expansion pack for The Sims 4 is about to be released. Growing Together is the name of the new add-on, and it's all about family. The expansion pack is packed with new features and improvements that creatively expand the life simulation game. From treehouses and bike riding to long-term house guests and life milestone memories, there's something for everyone. The like and dislike system has also been significantly revamped, and with the new map 'San Sequoia,' there are even more places to discover and explore. In this article, you'll learn what to expect in the new Die Sims 4 expansion pack.

Building Treehouses and Placing Telescopes on the Deck

In The Sims 4: Growing Together, players now have the ability to build treehouses. These can be placed as a simple tree and then expanded by the Sims as they see fit. There are various ways to decorate the treehouse, such as ladders, slides, and fireman poles. Once the treehouse is complete, Sims can hang out and play there. Adults also have the opportunity to spend romantic moments on the treehouse deck. Overall, it's a great addition that makes life in The Sims 4 even more varied and interesting.

Temporary Stays

Another new feature in The Sims 4: Growing Together is the ability to initiate temporary stays. This means that other Sims can come to visit for a longer period of time, instead of just stopping by for a day. Sims will arrive with their suitcase and, if necessary, a sleeping bag, and can also help out around the household. A great way to make new friends and make life in The Sims 4 even more social.

Quirks and Characteristics

In The Sims 4: Parenthood, infants and toddlers have up to three quirks, small mini-traits that define their personality. These can be things like enjoying being carried around or frequently sneezing. The like and dislike system has also been revamped. Sims can now distribute likes and dislikes across 18 different character traits and 18 conversation topics. This affects how they react to other Sims. These two features ensure that every Sim in The Sims 4 has their own unique personality.

Milestones and Memories

The Sims 4: Parenthood also introduces milestones, which mark important moments in a Sim's life. This can be things like learning to read or having their first kiss. The memories of these milestones are then stored in a treasure chest, which can be passed down from older Sims to future generations. A great way to remember past events and create precious memories in the future.

San Sequoia: A New Map to Explore

The new map San Sequoia is based on San Francisco and is divided into three areas. Anchorpoint Wharf is a bustling city center, Gilbert Gardens is a rural section with many parks, and Hopewell Hills is a cozy, quiet neighborhood. Overall, it's a very realistic representation that offers players many new places to explore. The only downside is the lack of Sequoia trees, which are the namesake of the map, but still a great addition to The Sims 4.

The Sims 4: Parenthood will be released on March 16th and is available for PC and consoles. To play the expansion pack, you will need the base game Sims 4.
