Welcome to the world of Thronefall
Hello dear queens and kings, today we want to take the time to answer some of your burning questions about the popular strategy game Thronefall. From the question about an endless mode to compatibility with Linux, we have tried to cover all important topics.
Endless mode and more
Many of you have asked if an endless mode is planned for Thronefall. We can answer that with a cautious yes. It is one of the most requested features and we love the idea. However, as a small two-person team, the development studio is limited in its resources and still needs to do some research before they can make a final statement on this.
Compatibility with Linux and Multiplayer Options
We have heard the question about a Linux version, and unfortunately, the developers have to disappoint you. A dedicated Linux version is not planned. But don't worry, Thronefall should work smoothly with Steam Play/Proton.
As for multiplayer or co-op modes, the answer is also no. As much as we would love this idea, resources are limited, and developing such a mode would be extremely time-consuming.
Demo Version and Progress Transfer
Some of you have noticed that the demo version of Thronefall has been deactivated. This was actually intentional - originally, the demo was only intended for the Steam Next Fest. However, due to the high interest, the developers decided to keep it online until the release of the full game.
If you are experiencing issues with transferring your progress from the demo to the main game, you can modify your save file.
Future Updates and Mod Support
While there probably won't be a level or wave editor, the developers definitely plan to add more content to Thronefall. In addition to bug fixes and balancing, they are currently working on new content for the game.
For all the mod fans out there, we have good news: the developers are planning mod support for Thronefall! This means you will be able to bring some of your own ideas to life.
Conclusion
With all this information, we hope to have given you a good overview of the current state and future of Thronefall. For those of you who don't yet own a Steam Key for the game, be sure to check out Thronefall! It's worth it!
