The Biggest Update Yet for Trail Out
Hello drivers! After 4 months of hard work, the biggest update in Trail Out history is finally here! Get ready for the Wild Roads and the new version 2.0 of the game.
Wild Roads:
This exciting update brings three huge new levels to the game on the island of Madagascar. Race through jungles, beaches, villages, and safaris with animals as you jump and dodge forest fires!
Additionally, four new vehicles (Buggy Bag, Off Rover, Badger, and Bus) and three secret character looks for Woods, Uber, and Mihalych are waiting for you. Find these secret spots on the new maps to unlock them!
Trail Out v2.0:
The new version of the game brings revised driving, suspension, gearbox, and engine physics. Cars now have weight and inertia, allowing curves to be taken by drifting. Additionally, tuning has been revised, making wheels important for the surface they fit best on. Suspension has multiple types, both for sports tracks and derby.
Your opponents in the race are now more willing to follow you, drive better, and provide improved competition. The Hunter Mode has been completely overhauled. Now you play in a police car with various gadgets to take out opponents! Derbies have become friendlier, and opponents have received more balanced damage.
Attention: Due to a revision of vehicle physics and other mechanics, the leaderboards of the maps have been reset.
Other new features include small action cameras from opponents when you damage them, as well as an improved car and driver damage system. Now damages look more brutal and even tear clothing!
Other changes:
- All racing maps have been updated and new interactive situations added (vehicles driving, new objects, or rearrangement of things)
- On the streets, there is a chance to encounter a fan trying to take a photo of you and run away
- Some maps now have a day-night system
- The garage has a different look and an extended maximum number of cars it can hold
- Leaderboards now have the option to display the car with which the record was set
- Leaderboards can now be viewed directly in the free race menu in the garage
- Sorting of cars by class added in the garage
- Quick tuning button added before the race in the garage
- Career has been updated to account for new maps
- Improved wheel effect, allowing cars to leave tracks on the ground
- Tuning of the anti-tracking system for cars implemented
- More data about cars, tuning, and maps in the garage
This is the last major free Trail Out update according to the roadmap. Due to development problems and lack of resources, we are suspending the development of the multiplayer mode indefinitely. We will focus on porting Trail Out to Playstation 5 and XBox Series S/X consoles. The system requirements for the PC have been updated.
