TRIALS of MANA - TRIALS of MANA - HD edition of Seiken Densetsu 3

Once upon a time, the Mana Goddess banished the Benevodons - evil monsters that had plunged the world into darkness - using the Mana Sword, turning them into 8 Mana Stones.
Greatly weakened by this action, she fell into a deep sleep and transformed into the Mana Tree. However, the peace was not to last, as the forces of evil were determined to free the Benevodons and plunge the world into chaos once again. The chosen heroes must of course prevent this from happening.

An old classic in a new, beautiful form

Trials of Mana is an HD remake of the successful RPG classic Seiken Densetsu 3, which was released in Japan and America in 1995. The remake shines in new splendor. The graphics have been polished and there is now also synchronization for the characters. The game was released worldwide on April 24, 2020, has been translated into 8 languages, and is available for the Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4 and PC (Steam).

In addition, the soundtrack has been revised and is now even more epic. In addition to the game, there is another playable episode in the endgame, so it is definitely worth playing through.
In contrast to the 1995 classic, Trials of Mana impresses with its improved ability and class system, which makes leveling more exciting and also makes the fights more interesting.

The story depends on you

In addition to the visual changes, the story was also changed. You choose your three-man team from six different characters. Depending on which hero and which sidekicks you choose, the story changes, the background stories and even the villain who stands in your way. So it's definitely worth playing the game several times to experience all the possible outcomes and endings.

A story not just for fans

Fans of the Mana series waited in vain for the release of Seiken Densetsu 3 in Europe back then. Many didn't understand why the European market was left out. Seiken Densetsu 2 - known in this country as "Secret of Mana" for the SNES - was very popular here. So it's all the more pleasing for fans now that the HD remake also came out in Europe. In the Mana Collection for the Switch you can play the old version from 1995, but the HD remake now makes fan hearts beat faster. However, due to the mentioned new features and improvements, it is not only a must-have for fans of the series, but also as a newcomer you quickly get into the Mana world.

Not from bad parents

Trials of Mana is from Square Enix. The well-known Japanese developer studio has developed games such as the Final Fantasy series - most recently the long-awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake - the Dragon Quest series, Kingdom Hearts III, Just Cause 4 or Life is Strange.
