Twitch - Twitch lowers payout threshold for streamers

Streaming platform Twitch has announced a change to its payout threshold for content creators. The threshold will be lowered from $100 to $50. This change will first take effect in countries such as Argentina, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, and Taiwan starting July 15th.

For Smaller and New Streamers

Previously, the payout threshold was calculated based on a user's earnings from subscriptions, donations, and ad revenue over a certain period of time. With the lowering of the threshold, Twitch aims to enable streamers to access their earnings faster. There is even the possibility of making the earnings available almost immediately.

New streamers in particular will benefit from this change, as they can earn their money earlier and don't have to wait as long to reach the payout threshold.
