It happens again and again that games that nobody had on their radar become surprise hits and can inspire a large number of gamers. The Viking survival game Valheim definitely belongs in this category and is currently celebrating great success in its Early Access phase.
As an enthusiastic video game fan, you naturally ask yourself here how it will continue after such a blitz start and what the gaming community can look forward to in the near future. Fortunately, the developers of IronGate Studio provide an overview in the form of a roadmap from which future content can be deduced.
Four large updates provide content on all fronts
On the roadmap, four large updates can be seen, which are each given more or less cryptic names.
It starts with the Hearth and Home update, which will probably bring new objects for the home as well as additional food into the game.
The second content package is called Cult of Wolf, which will probably focus on the fights themselves as well as the exploration of the game world.
Package number 3 is called Ships and the Sea and is therefore probably dedicated to the ships of the Vikings, which are to be equipped with additional customization options. More animals for the still relatively sparsely populated ocean could also be part of this update.
For the fourth content package, the developers are less cryptic. Here you can look forward to a completely new biome called Mistlands, in which, among other things, additional resources or enemies await you.
