Valorant is the first multiplayer first-person shooter from Riot Games.
The new game is a tactical shooter in which two teams of five people compete against each other in matches. The principle of the game is not dissimilar to that of popular first-person shooters such as Overwatch, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive or Rainbow Six: Siege. The players slip into the role of agents in Valorant. One team's task is to place and detonate a bomb. The opposing group, on the other hand, does everything in its power to prevent this from happening. If a team has won 13 matches, it has won.
The game is currently in its final development phase.
The first exciting matches are already being fought in a closed beta version. If you're not part of this yet, you won't have to wait much longer, because the full release of the game is expected in summer 2020. From then on, Valorant will be available free of charge for all gamers online. The closed version has been online since 7 April 2020 and currently has ten different characters who differ from each other in individual abilities. The skills can be improved during gameplay and between rounds. Cosmetic upgrades and enhancements can also be purchased for individual character design.
