Vampire Survivors lives up to its name
Hey, gamers! Today is going to be spookily good because we have fantastic news for all fans of Vampire Survivors. The game title is finally living up to its destiny - while there are still no vampires, there are now survivors!
And as if that wasn't enough, there are even more exciting updates: a local co-op mode is now available, and the game is also launching on the Nintendo Switch today. On top of that, there's a complete switch to a new engine for the Steam version. Let's dive right into the co-op mode.
Local Co-op meets Vampire Spa
Grab your friends and get ready for a vampiric survival battle in the new 4-player local co-op. With one controller per player, you can bring up to three additional people into the game to fight against the undead together.
The biggest changes when playing Vampire Survivors in local co-op are... well... other people. In addition to the usual chaos of human interactions, there are various options to customize your co-op games, such as colored outlines for your character and indicators.
Heading to Nintendo Switch
But that's not all! Vampire Survivors is also launching on Nintendo Switch today. The 4-player co-op and all previous updates are included, of course. Same game, same price - no nasty surprises or hidden costs!
Many players have been asking for a cross-save feature. Don't worry, they're working on it! The developers have already conducted successful tests and hope to present a solution soon.
Complete switch to the new engine
As if that wasn't enough updates, Vampire Survivors is also fully switching to its new engine on Steam today. The old engine will no longer be updated, but will remain accessible on a private beta branch for everyone.
