The developers of Vermintide 2 have released a new free update that offers players a new challenge. Additionally, there is also a new premium cosmetic that players can purchase in the in-game store to further customize their characters.
The new update: A Treacherous Adventure - Tower of Treachery Part 2
The latest update for Vermintide 2 is called "A Treacherous Adventure - Tower of Treachery Part 2" and is available for free to all owners of the game. Players must once again face the dangers of an old tower and fight against the plans of a new threat. A certain Sofia Fuegonasus has taken over Olesya's old hideout and is now trying to spread her deadly plans in the Grey Mountains, Bretonnia, and Reikland. It's up to the players to stop her.
The update offers players a new challenge to master. They must navigate both Olesya's and Sofia's traps and deceptions and face the strongest enemy they have encountered yet. Will they make it to the top of the tower? The update also offers further improvements, such as a new menu option to access old cinematics and filter options in the crafting menu.
New Premium Cosmetics: Heroic Masquerade Collection
Along with the update, Vermintide 2 also offers a new premium cosmetic collection called the "Heroic Masquerade Collection." This includes five individual outfits based on some of the most well-known characters from the Warhammer Fantasy universe. There are a total of 10 new cosmetic items, one hat and one skin for each character. The cosmetic items are available as a bundle or individually.
For example, the Belegar Ironhammer Collection offers two premium items for Bardin Goreksson: the Angrund helm and the Angruandklad skin. These can be used on Bardin's Outcast-Engineer career. The Alarielle the Radiant Collection offers two premium items for Kerillian: the Crown of Avelorn and the High Robes of Isha skin, which can be used on Kerillian's Handmaiden career. The Heroic Masquerade Collection offers a total of five different collections, one for each character in the game.

Some level improvements include fixing issues where AI was getting stuck in Halescourge and Righteous Stand, as well as adjusting damage areas in the pool of Convocation of Decay to match visual effects.
