California-based developer Funktronic Labs has announced that they will be releasing The Light Brigade for PlayStation VR2 on February 22, 2023. The Light Brigade is a VR roguelike shooter that sends the player on a historical, First World War-inspired journey. As part of the Light Brigade, the player must free captive souls in order to bring the light back into the world.
Historical Weapons and Light Sorcery
The Light Brigade relies on a combination of realistic gunplay and light sorcery. The player starts off as a recruit and can level up and unlock different classes by collecting weapon upgrades and freeing captive souls. The game is roguelike and offers infinitely procedurally generated battlefields for the player to fight on. The game also features an online component that allows players to encounter, fight alongside, or fight against other players on their journey.
Tarot Cards and the Darkness
The Light Brigade offers a variety of tarot cards with different effects, buffs, and passive abilities to enhance the player experience. The player must figure out what the Obsidian Forces are and what they want in order to solve the puzzle of the darkness.
