War Thunder - Update brings major changes

War Thunder is making some major adjustments

Hello gamers, get ready to put on your aviator goggles! War Thunder has some exciting updates in store. From reducing research and acquisition costs for your favorite planes to significant improvements in maps - there's something for everyone. And the best part? Most of these changes are based on your feedback. So buckle up and join us as we take a flight through the latest developments!

Reduced research and acquisition costs for aircraft

Get ready to take to the skies! War Thunder is announcing a significant reduction in research and acquisition costs for top-tier aircraft. And it's not just for Rank VI-VII, but also for Rank V and several other ranks. Veteran pilots among you will be pleased to hear that modification costs will also be lowered. Additionally, Silver Lion costs will be reduced - this includes the purchase of aircraft, crew training, expert crew acquisition, and modification purchases.

Research Tree Changes and Reduction of Research Points

The good news keeps coming! With the next major update, there will be changes to the research trees and a reduction in research points for grouped vehicles. This means less grinding and more fun unlocking your favorite machines in War Thunder.

Maps Getting a Facelift

And now, off to the front! War Thunder has received a lot of feedback on various maps and is taking it to heart. Numerous maps such as El Alamein, Aral Sea, or Normandy have undergone improvements - whether it's through revised balance or visual optimizations.

Focus on Individual Map Improvements

Let's take a closer look at some of the improved maps:

  • Fields of Poland: The open fields around the capital were too open and easy to shoot through. Now, the spawn points have been moved behind cover.
  • Karelia: Overpowering positions at the edge of the map have been changed.
  • American Desert: The northern part of this map has been reworked.
  • 38th Parallel: This map suffered from asymmetry - one side had very powerful shooting positions.
  • Normandy: The map will now be more symmetrical.
  • Jungle: The density of some vegetation has been reduced.

All these changes are aimed at improving the gameplay experience in War Thunder. Your feedback plays an important role, so don't hesitate to share your thoughts on official forums or social media.
