Attention, pilots and tank commanders! There have been some exciting updates in the world of War Thunder. This week, we'll take a look at some thrilling updates that will make the gameplay even more intense. So buckle up, get ready for takeoff, and let's dive into the latest developments.
Flares and Repair Kits
Remember those annoying times when you had to research for ages just to access basic countermeasures like flares? Well, those times are over! They are now available immediately after vehicle research. No more worries about missing countermeasures at crucial moments.
FPE and Advanced Repair Kits
Another cool addition is the Advanced Fire Extinguishing System (FPE) for ground vehicles. Now, there is regular extinguishing without modification unlocking, as well as an advanced system after researching a modification. This means you can now extinguish fires twice! And when it comes to repair kits, there is now a regular version and an advanced version. Pretty practical, right?
Improved Map Rotation for Aircraft
But that's not all! In War Thunder, there have also been some changes in terms of map rotation. The goal? To make battles as interesting and intense as possible. Based on statistics and player feedback, some missions have been adjusted according to the Battle Rating (BR) of the vehicles. This means that smaller maps are now available at low BR, while larger maps are available at high BR.

- [Operation] Husky
- [Operation] The Last Battle of Khalkhin Gol
These missions have been removed from the rotation.
- [Operation] Middle East
- [Operation] Cochinchina
- [Operation] Battle of Vietnam
These missions are only available up to BR 2.0.
- [Operation] Laizhou Bay
- [Operation] Battle of Spain
And these are only available at a BR of 2.3 to 5.0.
Note: Despite the adjustments, the distribution of bans, likes, and dislikes has hardly changed. So make sure to update your filters according to the maps you want to see or not.
