Watch Dogs Legion - All information on the story

Watch Dogs: Legion – Who Will Save London from the Surveillance State?

Watch Dogs: Legion takes place in the not-too-distant future, where the goal is to build resistance against an authoritarian regime that has taken over London. The city is full of cameras and the sky is full of deadly drones. It has been shaken by riots, reprisals, and bombings against the population.

People are being dragged out of their homes, and every resident is equipped with an implant so the government can find them anywhere. Surveillance has increased, information about people can be accessed at any time, employees are being replaced by machines, and the pound has been replaced by a new form of cryptocurrency.

After Brexit, Chaos Ensues

After the Brexit vote, in which the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union, the country is tightening its security and commissioning a private military organization called Albion to monitor and purport to preserve the peace.

In reality, they are planning to severely restrict the rights and freedoms of citizens. They are armed with assault rifles and authorized to shoot and kill civilians, in contrast to traditional police officers. But Albion will not be the only opponent you will face. Organized crime in Britain continues to grow despite the increased security, and human trafficking and drug cartels are still thriving.

The DedSec Revolution

The player can recruit and control members of a citizen militia group of the hacker collective DedSec to restore justice for the population. DedSec fights against the various hostile factions trying to take over London.

To do this, they carry out an aggressive campaign to move people to participate in the revolution. The goal is to restore freedom for the United Kingdom and to resist mass surveillance and repression. The fate of London lies in the hands of the player and his ability to resist.

Up to 20 team members

Instead of having one or even two central protagonists, players can recruit and control up to 20 characters who populate their world in Watch Dogs: Legion. Previously, an introductory mission for this person must be completed to introduce them as a new protagonist in DedSec. Afterwards, a class can be assigned to him, making him part of the team. To convince someone to become a member, you have to find out what he needs and help him achieve it.

This is not only associated with costs, but also risky, because the employees are mortal. Once someone is killed, they are gone forever and you are forced to use other members of the team. To avert death, you have two options: either surrender to the armed forces or continue to fight. The playable character is then either brought to a prison or to a hospital. If you decide to continue fighting, you have to be very careful, because you can die at any time. If you are arrested, you have the option of being rescued by another character.

The members of the team all have their own advantages, disadvantages and one of over a dozen types of personalities. Each of them is classified as one of three types, either hacker, combat-focused attacker or stealthy infiltrator who remains hidden. Through their different abilities, each character works according to his own schedule, which the player can observe and control. This means that they can be in different places at different times and do different things. Thanks to unusual and highly modern speech modulation, no two characters will sound the same.
