Current player numbers speak volumes
According to data from SteamDB, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League reached a peak of 7,152 concurrent players since its Early Access release on January 30. This number is significantly below expectations, especially when compared to other major titles that have been released in the past.
For example, Starfield, another high-profile game, reached over 230,000 concurrent players on the day of its Early Access premiere.
Root Causes and Outlook
There are several possible reasons for the slow start of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. One of them could be the price of the Deluxe Edition, which was accessible before the official launch. It is not uncommon for more expensive editions to attract fewer buyers, but the difference in player numbers compared to other titles is notable.
It remains to be seen whether the player numbers will improve with the release of the Standard Edition and the first reviews.
