Wild Hearts May Update - New weapons, armor, quests, and limit break options

May update brings fresh air into the game

The trees and flowers are blooming, the birds are chirping, and the unique smell of spring is in the air! We are in the middle of allergy season. Or wait... that could also be the new Alpha Sapscourge spreading juice and pollen everywhere in the May content update of Wild Hearts. Either way, we all lose our surprise attack bonuses after a sneeze attack.

The update brings a lot of new content for players, including new weapons, an armor set, and a new earring accessory in the style of the mysterious Tsukumo, as well as additional quests and an expanded limit break system. In this article, we will introduce you to the most important new features.

The Alpha Sapscourge Variant and Its Rewards

In Azuma, Kemono with remarkable vitality and the ability to control heavenly threads at will have been frequently sighted. A successful hunt of such a creature could yield top-notch materials for crafting new weapons and armor. After completing the main story, you will receive a quest to eliminate the Sapscourge in a new side story quest called "Alpha Amber Rogue."

New Quests: Trial Quests and Volatile Kemono Quests

In a new trial quest, hunters must fight Kemono with predetermined armor, abilities, and weapons. Test your skills as a hunter under these restrictive conditions to see how quickly you can emerge victorious. Trial quests do not require you to possess the equipment, hence they provide good opportunities to try out less familiar builds before investing gold and materials in new equipment. The rewards for successfully completing a trial hunt improve the faster you defeat your target. Trial quests will be added to Chapters 4 and 5.

Starting from Chapter 3, quests featuring special volatile Kemono have also been added to the side stories. To unlock these quests, certain conditions must be met.

Expanded Limit Break System

The limit break system has gone beyond its limits! Weapons and armor can now enhance their attribute power or resilience using Core Orbs. Like attack and defense limit breaks, the number of executions and effects vary for each equipment piece.

Hunters can also use Core Orbs to modify or supplement the innate abilities of a weapon. New abilities will be randomly selected based on the weapon type. The default innate abilities of the weapon and already attached abilities are excluded from the selection. Weapons may also qualify for a third innate ability. However, an ability in this third slot will be significantly weaker.

Conclusion

The May update of Wild Hearts brings many exciting new features to the game that are interesting for both experienced players and newcomers. Whether you embark on the hunt for the Alpha Sapscourge, showcase your skills in trial quests, or use the expanded limit break system to optimize your equipment, there are plenty of ways to make your adventures in the world of Wild Hearts even more thrilling.
