World War 3 - Team-based tactical shooter from Poland

World War 3 is a team-based tactical shooter developed by Polish studio The Farm 51. The game puts you in the role of a soldier to clean up war zones around the world with your team mates. But what can you expect when you take on the challenges of war?

Hard Start

In 2018, World War 3 was supposed to see the light of the gaming world. However, the version that came out then was almost unplayable. There were many server problems, so players couldn't play at all in the first week. If there was ever a match, the connections were bad, so you were often kicked out of the game or the reaction time was so shifted that opponents could simply shoot you while your game character just stood there. In consultation with the publisher, the developer pulled the rip cord and took World War 3 back from the gaming platforms.

After about three years of error searching and revision, World War 3 is back. In a closed beta you can jump into the fight and prove your skills in two different game modes.

Around the World

World War 3 brings you different maps that are supposed to represent war zones around the world. So far you can explore Moscow, Berlin and Warsaw, for example. You can choose whether you want to compete against each other in the classic team deathmatch or whether you want to take and hold strategic points of the map in the domination mode.

While the selection of modes and maps is still manageable, the game offers a large arsenal of different weapons that you can also modify with a variety of modifiers. The game remains realistic and focuses on weapons such as pistols, submachine guns, assault rifles or a sniper rifle.

In addition to the standard weapons, you can also unlock so-called strikes in the course of the game. These are additional tools that can give you a tactical advantage. For example, you can use a drone to scan an area or send a drone to counter scanning. There will be a tactical air strike and you can also drop vehicles such as a tank if you have collected enough strike points during the game. As a little bonus, all weapons, tools and character models can be cosmeticall

A Look into the Future

After the closed beta, World War 3 is scheduled to be released as a free-to-play game in the course of 2022. As usual, you will be able to unlock weapons and buy cosmetics for money. The selection of weapons presented in the beta will be expanded at irregular intervals after the release. In addition, new maps are planned to bring more variety to the war.

However, the incorporation of new game modes is not planned at this time, which does not mean that other modes could not find their way to World War 3 at a later stage.
