XDefiant: Ubisoft working on Killcams and exploring ideas for Killstreaks - Learn more about the planned changes and additions in the closed beta test.

Ubisoft confirms work on Killcams for XDefiant

The closed beta test of XDefiant shows clear parallels to other fast-paced first-person shooters. However, what is missing are the well-known killcams from many online multiplayer games. But don't worry, Ubisoft has now confirmed that work is already underway on this feature.

Mark Rubin talks about possible game modes with Killstreaks

Mark Rubin, Executive Producer of XDefiant, also commented on the idea of a game mode with Killstreaks on Twitter. In the current state of the game, there is no such mechanic, but chaining kills already allows players to earn their abilities and ultimates faster.

Rubin emphasizes, however, that this does not mean that such features are planned for the regular game modes of XDefiant. They are merely ideas from the development team, and it remains to be seen whether they will be accepted by the player base.

A "Nuke" option for XDefiant?

Another mechanism that many players may be familiar with is the "Nuke" streak, which is typically earned for a 30-kill weapon streak. Although there is currently no Nuke in XDefiant, Rubin mentions a "fun" idea for such an option. However, the implementation of this idea would take some time.

Closed beta test: Changes and new features will only be available later

Since XDefiant is currently in closed beta testing, it is likely that the mentioned changes and new features will only be available in the final version or another beta phase. With over one million players in the closed beta test of the upcoming free-to-play shooter, Ubisoft could potentially achieve great success.

What the future holds

It will be exciting to see which new features and changes will actually make their way into XDefiant. The introduction of killcams is already a step in the right direction. Potential game modes with killstreaks and even a "Nuke" option could further enrich the game and provide even more fun for players.

Regardless of how XDefiant presents itself in its final version, we will keep you up to date here at Keyfuchs and inform you about all important news and updates surrounding Ubisoft's promising shooter.
