XDefiant: Ubisoft responds to Killstreaks and other features - Fans demand Call of Duty-like functions - The developer's reaction

Ubisoft comments on Killstreaks in XDefiant

The Executive Producer of XDefiant, Mark Rubin, has addressed fans' demands to integrate a feature from Call of Duty into the game. Many players are requesting Killstreaks similar to those in Call of Duty to be included in XDefiant. But what does the developer have to say about it?

No universal Killstreaks planned - but a special mode may be in the works

Rubin explained that Ubisoft currently has no plans to introduce universal Killstreaks in XDefiant. However, he presented an idea where there could be a special game mode where, for example, three kills would unlock an ability and seven kills would activate an ultra-ability. This feature would be limited to that specific mode only.

Further features in discussion: Killcams and a "Nuke" option

In addition to Killstreaks, Rubin confirmed that the implementation of Killcams is being worked on. A "Nuke" option is also in discussion, with the Executive Producer emphasizing that it may not be integrated into the game anytime soon.

XDefiant: A competitive FPS game with potential

Based on what has been shown so far, XDefiant has the potential to become one of the best competitive FPS games on the market. If Ubisoft continues to listen to player feedback and introduces interesting features, the game could develop a strong following. Although the Closed Beta is ending soon, it is still worth learning about the best weapons and factions in XDefiant in case there are future Beta testing phases.

When will XDefiant be released?

An exact release date for XDefiant has not been announced yet. However, it is possible that there will be additional Beta tests before the official launch. Interested players should keep an eye out for updates from Ubisoft or check back here at Keyfuchs to stay informed.

Conclusion: Fans can be excited

Although Ubisoft is not planning to include universal Killstreaks in XDefiant, the developer's response shows that they are listening to player feedback and considering which features could enhance the game. The introduction of a special game mode with Killstreaks or other interesting features could help make XDefiant even more appealing to fans of competitive FPS games.
