What now suggests that the new special edition will be for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an extremely successful game for Nintendo since it was released in 2017, as it is not only the best-selling game in the series, but also one of the best-selling games on the Nintendo Switch. The game was also released on the Switch as well as on the Wii U.
In total, the game has sold over 27 million copies worldwide to date. Tears of the Kingdom is now the successor to Breath of the Wild, which is currently planned for 2023 by Nintendo, after the release was postponed several times due to the Corona pandemic. The game is also planned to be released exclusively for the Switch.
