Zone Wars - New tabletop game from the world of Mutant Year Zero

The popular post-apocalyptic video game Mutant Year Zero now has a tabletop adaptation called Zone Wars. The game was developed by Free League Publishing and is based on the 1984 Mutant RPG. The game is said to be "anarchic, violent, and most of all entertaining" and is suitable for a "party game" according to the developers.

Fight for Scrap in Zone Wars

In Zone Wars, up to four players fight on a 3x3-foot game board with their warrior squads for scrap. The goal is to collect as many victory points and weapons as possible to come out as the winner in the end. Players can equip their warriors with tokens on the game board to gain advantages. Firing from elevated positions and attacks from behind are allowed.

Clear Rules and Easy Handling

The game uses cards to describe the abilities of the warriors and each player rolls six-sided dice. The rule is: The more sixes are rolled, the more successful the attack. The rules are easy to understand, so even newcomers can quickly get into the game.
